Rules of Discipline For Students
Gross Indiscipline, damage to school property, misbehaviour in public streets or conveyances justifies dismissal. Habitual idleness, copying in the examination or a week's inexcusable absence is each, a sufficient cases for dismissal.
At the first warning bell, pupils must immediately fall in for the Assembly according to classes after the Assembly, they must walk in silence to their class rooms. When the last period is over, the pupils will recite the Prayer After Class with the teacher.
In the absence of the teacher, the first monitor assumes responsibility for order and discipline of the class. The second monitor should report the matter to the office, if no teacher arrives within five. minutes. The leaders are responsible for discipline in the school and outside the classrooms.
The Captains of the school are elected by the pupils and approved of by the school authorities. All the pupils are expected to co-operate with the Captains, Monitors and Leaders to maintain the discipline, good name and ideals of the school.
When the pupils are moving along corridors to another classroom, the rule is : form a straight line and keep to the side opposite the classrooms. The teacher in the class shall be the last to leave after switching off the lights and fans.
The School does not accept responsibility for the loss of books, money, clothes and other articles . As each pupil is responsible for his own things, he is advised to bring his books securely locked in a bag. He should not carry much money or valuable articles with him.
Personal cleanliness is expected from all pupil. The uniform must be clean and neatly pressed, shoes well-polished, finger-nails pared and hair, trimmed and neatly arranged. The Principal 1 may send a pupil home for lack of personal cleanliness, long hair or dirty shoes.
No fines of any kind or collection for any purpose whats-so-ever, may be made without the Principal's previous sanction.
Refinement of manners, habits of law and order, neatness in person and dress and punctuality are required at all times.
All the students must reach the school the well in time. Latecomers will have to get written permission from the Principal. Those who reach the school before time should sit in their seats in the class room and study silently. Permission of the teacher-incharge is required for going out before the first bell.
The school Uniform should be strictly in accordance with the pattern prescribed by the school.
All are expected to speak English in the school premises and in the school buses.
Books considered objectionable or obscene to school not be brought to school. News papers and other publications may not be brought to school without the previous sanction of the principal.
The students must greet the teachers wherever they meet them for the first time in the day. When a teacher enters the class, the students must keep standing until the teacher asks them to sit down or occupies his / her seat. They shall thank the teacher at the end of the class. Students are not to entertain the teachers with gifts.
A pupil absent from the examination for any reason will not be re-examined.
Absolute silence and perfect order should be maintained by all pupils while going to the assembly ground, laboratory, and playground or while returning to classes.
The school building and premises should be kept clean and tidy, Any damage caused to school property or properties owned by others will have to be made good.
Immoral actions, insubordination to authorities, willful damage to property, skulking, stealing, malpractice in examination, tampering with marks, forgery in any form etc. are grave reasons for severe disciplinary action.
The school reserves the right to compel the parents to withdraw their wards if their progress in studies is unsatisfactory or if their attendance is irregular or the conduct is harmful to other children
Permission from the Principal is necessary for leaving the school premises during school hours.
No student will be sent home, unless a duly authorized parson comes to take him/her.
It is compulsory on the part the pupils to participate in co-curricular and other school activities.
Pupils who do not abide by the rules and regulations of the School will be dismissed from the school even during the course of the academic year
Those absent for more than a week because of illness must produce a Medical Certificate. • Pupil in one class is not allowed to be in any other class even during the intervals.
Running about and screaming in the classroom is strictly forbidden.
Each personal article must bear name / roll No. of the student in full.
Only exam pad is allowed to be used for examinations.
Failure to wear the prescribed uniform in class shall entail the pupil being sent home and marked absent for the day.
Repeated absence without leave or unexplained absence for more than 14 consecutive days renders the students without liable to have his/her name struck off the rolls.
Students are not allowed to celebrate their birthday in the school with cakes, sweets or any such items. Electronic device like mobile phone, digital cameras, pen drive, Cd's etc are strictly prohibited in the school Premises.
